Templesprings COVID -19 Support FAQ
In response to the current COVID-19 situation in the UK, we would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that Templesprings has already taken a number of precautionary actions to ensure that we can continue offering the best service to you and your family whilst keeping our team safe.
We are following all guidance and advice issued by HM Government and Public Health England.
Q: What actions are we taking?
A: In line with current Government advice, we are taking the recommended actions to protect the children, our staff and families against the evolving Coronavirus. We continue to monitor and update our practices where necessary and will keep you updated on the actions we are taking.
As a center which works with Children and Families in our Music provision, Breakfast, After School and Holiday Clubs provision, we have always followed stringent hygiene practices and we have reminded all staff about being even more vigilant around these practices.
Our musical instruments and equipment are wiped down before and after every lesson, staff and young people are encouraged to wash hands with soap and water often. We have put up signs all round the centre and encourage people to wash hands regularly.
Q: What advice should we follow?
A: Please note that the Government advice regarding self-isolation has now changed. If you, your child or anyone in your household displays the following symptoms:
The advice is for the whole household to self-isolate for 14 days. For the most up to date information please see the official Government websites which are regularly updated using the following links HERE
Q: What happens now with music lessons and childcare clubs?
A: At present;
If there are any changes to this, we will update parents accordingly.
Except...
As you will have seen from the recent Government Briefing on COVID-19, schools will close to the majority of pupils on Friday 20th March 2020, until further notice.
We have already written to the Parents who use our Childcare service of the support we will provide Key Workers.
The government is mindful of the strain on public services like the NHS that would be caused by key workers having to stay home to look after their children as a result of school closures.
Q: How will Templesprings support Key Workers?
A: As we plan our way forward during these difficult circumstances, we ask that you contact us if any person with parental responsibility for a child at Templesprings is a Key Worker.
A Key Worker is a public sector employee who is considered to provide an essential service, such as health care professionals, Police, Education Sector employees, etc.
Please email bidemi@templesprings.com to let us know by Friday 20th March, and provide your name, child(ren)'s name and the company you work for.

- A new continuous cough

Q: What happens now with music lessons and childcare clubs?
A: At present;
- all our face-to-face music lessons are running as usual until Saturday 21st March.
- Our After-School clubs are running until Tuesday 31st March.
- We are working hard to be able to open our Virtual Doors for Online Music Lessons from Monday 23rd March 2020
- We are working to continue to deliver our C3 Youth Program for our teenagers virtually.
- We are making arrangements to provide Childcare Support for Key Workers in our community.
If there are any changes to this, we will update parents accordingly.
Except...
- Saturday Mini mixer lessons are cancelled with immediate effect.
- Saturday Singing Lessons are cancelled with immediate effect.
- We have decided to postpone this Month's #MakeMusicDay event which was scheduled for this Saturday 21st March.
- Postpone Rock School Graded Exam scheduled for Monday 6th April until further notice.
- Postpone Parent Master Classes until further notice.
- Stop Mini-Mixers Group Classes running from the centre.
- Stop C3 Youth Program running from the centre.
