Dear Parents
We hope you and your family had a good summer break?
Welcome to a new academic year of C3 Youth Programme! We held our Parents Induction for the new C3 Cohort on Saturday 9th September 2023 and we are pleased to say another 7 new members have joined us. They have plenty to look forward to.
Looking Back:
Here is a reminder of the fantastic things your children got up to last academic year. We facilitated activities such as:
The benefits of these activities includes team building, building relationships, sharpening communication skills, motivation, developing critical thinking, learning from mistakes and feedback, and developing leadership skills.
Looking Forward:

To enable us to continue to deliver this much needed youth programme, it has become necessary to implement an increase in our C3 annual membership fees to £180.
As you may be aware, we all are currently facing a significant cost of living crisis including the pressures of inflation that has impacted various aspects of our operations. Our energy costs have increased by 150% in 12 months, our food costs are up 20%, and our general expense has increased by about 11% for everything. In addition, many grant funders who funded us in the past have limited funding opportunities too.
Despite our best efforts to manage expenses efficiently, this increase is necessary and we hope you understand. The fees can be paid in full or installments, please let us know which you prefer by replying to this email, our accounts team will then raise the necessary invoices.
We look forward to working together for the development and growth of your children.
Sincerely
Derin & Bidemi Johnson

Looking Back:
Here is a reminder of the fantastic things your children got up to last academic year. We facilitated activities such as:
- Collab to Create: Two teams had to follow Product Development Lifecyle (PDL), decide which product, identify project roles, design prototypes, finally test and launch the product.
- T-Shirt Project
- Skills Showcase
- Christmas Hamper
- Debate For & Against: As automation and artificial intelligence advance, will we have jobs in the future?
The benefits of these activities includes team building, building relationships, sharpening communication skills, motivation, developing critical thinking, learning from mistakes and feedback, and developing leadership skills.
Looking Forward:
This academic year, we have a C3 programme packed with
- Exciting learning and development opportunities.
- Many planned outings and trips;
- Pathway to Employment opportunities;
- We have new coaches who will be supporting the young people
- More investments in resources and systems.

Dear %FirstName%,
We want to say thanks to every parent and student for being with us throughout this year! A lot of milestones were achieved, exams passed, and many hours spent filled with fun!
Our team is very proud of all of our students who put great effort into their lessons. They all gained a massive increase in confidence, such as playing difficult pieces of music, or performing in front of a live audience.

October Half-term
We are approaching the half-term break, which is from 24th-29th October. Have you booked your half term activities yet?
Music... Mafia... Madness... (and loads of fun)!
This autumn half term, the theme will be music and mafia, which will be explored through studio workshop sessions and some very exciting, fun roleplay games.
"Music Mafia Madness" is an interactive workshop that will allow young people to broaden their knowledge and understanding of the arts by introducing them into and getting them involved in new art forms that they may not have heard of before.
Feel free to bring in costumes - hats, glasses, suits, anything to look like a real mafioso!
This is a great opportunity for your child(ren) to build their portfolio and accelerate the achievement of their Arts Award certifications.

Student of the Month Award!
At Templesprings, we strongly believe that hard work pays off. Most of our students practice their musical instruments daily, and some of them still need to be encouraged more to achieve the desired result. To make sure every student practices as much as possible, we will be introducing our brand new Student of the Month Award, which starts from 31st of October 2022!

Queen's Passing
We respectfully recognise and mourn the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the beginning of this month. A wife, a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother who demonstrated an incredible sense of duty, dignity, and quiet power through her constant presence in so many of our lives. May her soul rest in peace.
As a mark of respect for the state funeral of the Queen, we have taken the decision to close the music centre on Monday 19th of September to allow our staff to mourn and pay their respects. This will mean that all lessons taking place on Monday the 19th September will be rescheduled to take place in the retake week from December 5th - December 10th 2022.
